Labyrinth in the Hanmer Springs Heritage Forest

20110328-HanmerSprings-174
20110417-HanmerSprings-193

We have a portable canvas labyrinth used in the Hanmer Springs Heritage Forest or the neighbouring forest. It is available in the forest on full moon, solstice and equinox evenings, or by appointment.

It is our hope to develop a permanent labyrinth in Hanmer Springs in future, to add to the healing nature of the village.

The portable labyrinth was designed and made by John E. Ridder of PAXworks. It is a medieval style labyrinth, known as the Eagles Crest Labyrinth. It has five-circuits and is called the "heart of Chartres". The labyrinth is 18 foot in diameter and is small enough to be used indoors. It has been in Hanmer Springs since May 2011.
